We've come a long way together over the past three years—the product, team, and community have all grown beyond our wildest dreams. However, amidst all this growth, our trusty Logseq logo seems to have missed the memo.

So, it's time to give our beloved tool a fresh new look! And guess what? We want YOU, our fantastic community members, to be part of this experience.

The Quest for an Extraordinary Logo

While our talented team will also be working hard to create a new logo in-house, we firmly believe in the power of open source. That's why we're throwing open the doors to our design process and inviting you to join in.

Together, we'll craft a logo that'll make heads turn and jaws drop—a logo that captures the very essence of Logseq.

What We're Seeking in a Logo

We're looking for a fresh new take, something that screams Logseq, and captures our product and values. Most importantly, we want to see what YOU dream of when you hear Logseq!

Our values are as follows:

• Intuitive Knowledge Management: Information organization should be smooth and access fast as lightning.
• Collaborative & Open: Our logo, much like the surrounding competition, should shout from the rooftops, "We're stronger together!"
• Privacy & Security: We take data protection seriously. Our logo needs to radiate trust and security.
• Accessible & Extensible: From plugins to themes and so much more, we're always striving to make Logseq a foundation for more great things then we could ever imagine.
• Empowering Creativity & Problem Solving: We want to inspire a generation of creative geniuses (like yourself). So let creativity run wild with the logo, and inspire the same in others!

In the end, we want a remarkable logo that shines across all our platforms—from dazzling marketing materials to irresistible app icons on Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.

Remember, it's only the logo/app icon itself we're looking for. So let your imagination run wild and don't worry about the rest of the branding/design system—we'll take care of that!

Competition Timeline and Prizes—Let the Fun Begin!

Ready for the good stuff? Here's a glimpse into the timeline:

• The competition starts on May 23rd, 2023.
• Submissions close on June 16th, 2023.
• Then there will be a 5 day voting period, from June 19th to June 23rd.
• The winners will be announced on June 28th, 2023.

Now, let's talk about the icing on the cake—cash prizes! To make this contest worth your time, we'll award these prices to our logo superheroes:

• First place: $1,000 USD
• Second place: $500 USD
• Third place: $300 USD

While some of our marvelous team members are joining in for fun, they won't be eligible for any prizes. We're all about fairness!

How to Showcase Your Design Wizardry

Ready to dazzle us with your creative brilliance? Here's how to jump on board:

1. Summon your design powers however you normally do—whether through meditation or cold brew or through a good old Logseq note taking session.
2. Use those powers to create a logo masterpiece that aligns with your image of Logseq. Check every pixel and make sure it matches your master vision.
3. Swing by our submission thread on our forum and submit your design as a comment in the designated thread. Feel free to share multiple designs—we love seeing your creativity—but please only submit one design per comment!
4. Give us a glimpse into the genius behind your design by providing a brief explanation of your concept. We're excited to hear how and why each logo captures the Logseq essence!
5. Include your Twitter handle in your submission—or privately share it with a team member, if you want a chance to be featured on our Twitter page. We'll share a couple amazing logos with the Twitterverse (giving you the credit you deserve, of course!).
6. And please share your submission with the world! We will take votes and engagement into account when selecting the finalists, so spread the word about your masterpiece!
